About Us

The director is Peter McIntosh who has been self employed in the fencing industry for more than 20 years.

From humble beginnings in Melbourne, Peter & his wife Cheryl started constructing wooden paling fences, progressed to security fencing, then seeing an opportunity, commenced installing Guardrail.

As his reputation grew, so did demand and 10 years ago he and Cheryl moved the business to Tasmania, both for the business opportunities and the lifestyle.

Now the business has developed into a multi million dollar enterprise, employing 6 workers and casual workers as required, operating as a tight knit operation, working across New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania for clients such as Roads and Traffic Authority (NSW), VicRoads (Victoria), DIER (Tasmanian Government), Municipal Councils and Private Corporations.

We have direct registration with Vic Roads (Victoria), The Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA, NSW) and DIER (Tas), and have been Quality Assured to 9001/2000, meaning we have in place complete and comprehensive Management Systems, as well as strong policies and working manuals on Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental Considerations and all required paperwork.
We are also members of, and have Management Certification from the Civil Contractors Federation (Aust.) for our Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Quality Management Systems, all of which are externally audited on an annual basis.

McIntosh Fencing Pty Ltd has been in business since 1979 and was incorporated in 1994.
